We commit to respect the following codes of conduct:


1. Trade and work only with suppliers and subcontractors whose products and services are made under humane working conditions and are in line with International Labor Organization Conventions. We check particularly for:

  • banning of forced labor and slavery
  • elimination of child labor
  • non discrimination
  • respect of minimum wage and the supply of unrestricted revenues allowing workers to face their vital needs
    maximum hours worked per week not to exceed 48
  • health and safety at work. Providing a safe, secure and healthy work environment
  • trade union freedom
  • freedom of association and the right to organize and to bargain collectively


2. Reduce the negative impact on the environment at all stages of garment life-cycle and its manufacturing processes. In specific we focus on:

  • favoring the use of raw materials and substances which have a minimum impact on the environment (during their creation and their elimination). Therefore, we choose for raw materials which come from none / low polluting production (hemp, bamboo, organic cotton, etc) or which come from the re-use and recycling of waste or trash (agricultural, plastic, metal, paper).
  • using only products such as biodegradable or low impact dyes that do not contain heavy metals and toxic chemicals when dyeing and printing.


3. Contribute to the development of local communities by:

  • creating opportunities for sustainable commercial relationships
  • creating employment that guaranties a fair wage for workers


Specific codes of conduct


For garment production:

  • to source the highest quality organic, natural, recycled and biodegradable textiles and trimming, packaging and promotional materails and to minimize the use of synthetic products
  • to pay fair prices for goods and services
  • to use local labor whenever possible
  • to minimize packaging and use only recyclable packaging when needed
  • to contribute to the education of the general public on organic textiles and related issues

For clothing design:

  • to design garments of a sophisticated and the latest cut,
  • to base designs on previous years’ models,
  • to add value to the design through embroideries and hand made finishing
  • to reuse excess materials as gusset in different models,
  • to find solutions to avoid interlining materials – or to use environmentally friendly fabrics as interlining materials.

For textiles selection:

  • to outsource the highest quality fibers and textiles from environmentally certified producers or materials produced by already known producers - who work in accordance with environmentally safe processes,
  • to work with reused and recycled clothing and fabrics
  • to avoid fabrics of mixed varieties (considering the disposal phase) except from fabrics providing longer wear,
  • to avoid fabrics which have been subjected to additional treatment with chemicals.
